Design, engineering and drawing
Initially IQ Glassrooms visit and discuss your requirement working to your own drawings or simply your aspirations for the new addition. 3D visualisations can be produced and images of previous projects are a useful tool for deciding on the look and feel of the glass extension. Once the design has been decided the selection of the performance of the glass is decided with products such as Solar Control coatings, thermal enhancements or privacy glasses considered.
Once appointed IQ Glassrooms hold an internal handover meeting and discuss the project in great detail with the Contracts and Design department ensuring all elements are identified and the required drawings confirmed. The design department will carry out the relevant structural engineering required for that project and once signed off by the design manager drawings will be produced for approval. These drawings are produced in Autocad and PDF and can be supplied digitally or hard copy. If the project is large or particularly complex a site meeting is organised. All aspects of the interface with surrounding finishes is considered so the final design is coherent and well though through.
