Stunning Modern Orangeries

A modern twist on traditional orangeries with minimalist detailing.

Features and Benefits
The historical definition of orangeries is the place where oranges and lemons were traditionally cultivated. Technically an orangery consists of several layers of stoned walls with a glass roof. The overall glass covered about 75 %of the roof. The concept has been grabbed by the housing market and is considered as the contemporary version of the conservatory, available for only the most discerning clients. IQ take the structuring of orangeries even further; with sharp minimalist detailing of our frameless sliding system and IQ’s frameless rooflights you can achieve a contemporary, solid orangery extension with a fresh aesthetic.

Planning permission for orangeries is required but is not usually onerous.

Design Ideas
Generally, the combination clients go for is a flat roofed extension with a frameless structural rooflight above, the whole extension is then framed with IQ’s Minimal Window System, allowing maximum glass exposure with access to the garden without unsightly framing. An orangery is flexible; options including lanterned rooflights, sliding-folding doors, and roof vents. At IQ we listen to what you want from your investment and explore our design options in order to provide our clients with stunning orangeries.
